Welcome to Five@Five: Weekly Insights for Life and Real Estate
Hey there!
Welcome back to Five@Five, where I share highlights from the week—music, reflections, family adventures, and of course, the latest in real estate. Let’s get started!
This week, I’ve been captivated by Zach Bryan’s “Hey Driver” featuring The War and Treaty.
The line, “Take me down a road that's a little bit windy where they still put sugar in their iced tea,” hits home, reminding me to embrace the slower, simpler moments in life. It’s a nudge we all need—to detour from the grind and savor life’s unsweetened joys.
This week, I watched The Judge, and wow—what a movie. Robert Duvall’s performance earned him a well-deserved Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actor, and the story had me hooked.
Fair warning: it’s a tearjerker. Bring tissues and prepare for an emotional ride.
Vincent van Gogh’s words have been resonating with me lately:
“I am always doing what I can't do yet in order to learn how to do it.”
This quote from a letter he wrote in 1885 reminds us to push our boundaries and embrace challenges as opportunities for growth. What’s one thing you’re stepping out of your comfort zone to learn this week?
We made a big change in our household: no screen time on school nights for two months. It’s been a game-changer.
Sure, conversations sometimes veer into potty talk, but we’ve also had some profound moments. One tip: ask your kids about their dreams. The answers can range from superhero escapades to elaborate plans for turning the living room into a spaceship.
These simple conversations have helped us connect in meaningful ways.
Rudyard Kipling’s poem If— has been on my mind lately. As a parent, its wisdom feels particularly relevant.
Here’s a snippet that resonates deeply:
“If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you…”
It’s a timeless reminder to stay grounded and resilient amidst chaos. If you haven’t read it, take a moment—you might find inspiration too.
Big news: our “Deal of the Week” newsletter launched this Wednesday!
